To mark ten years since its 2008 founding, the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra presents its inaugural Children’s and Family Festival. The event series includes four family concerts, featuring the premiere of “Nour, Anna and the Wise Fools” alongside an art workshop for young children developed with WISE.
Kurt Meister, Executive Director of the Qatar Philharmonic, noted during a press conference at Katara Drama Theatre that music serves as a powerful force to unite people globally while stimulating the mind and moving hearts. The festival opens with “Nour, A Girl of the Desert” at Katara Drama Theatre on Friday, following its successful world premiere two years ago. This concert blends drama and music, with MAias Alyamani conducting his own compositions alongside a story by Svetlana Schmitz and staging by ACTory’s Tamara Schafer and Schmitz.
