Roland Corporation announced the upcoming opening of Roland Store New York City, its first standalone retail location in the United States. The Music Industries Association reported that the new destination is scheduled to open in early October 2026 at 414 West 14th Street in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. The facility will bring Roland, BOSS, and Drum Workshop brands under one roof within a historic building spanning more than 9,000 square feet.
Designed as a hub for musicians and creators, the showroom features dedicated areas for pianos, drums, guitars, synthesizers, and DJ equipment. Visitors can access Roland’s only dedicated grand piano showroom and the sole Drum Workshop showroom in the country. The space includes a BOSS Cavern for guitar effects and rotating exhibits highlighting legacy gear like the TR-808 rhythm composer.
The store aims to facilitate discovery through hands-on experiences with instruments ranging from V-Drums to the new FP-40 Digital Piano. Roland concierges will guide guests, while product experts will offer free 30-minute workshops and one-to-one sessions. An AI-powered sound system called Roland Soundscapes will generate unique compositions based on environmental factors. An invitation-only grand opening celebration is planned for October 10, with regular hours set from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
