The Shanghai Conservatory of Music convened a study session of its党委中心组 on July 21 morning, focusing on the directives issued by Xi Jinping during his recent visit to Shanghai and his remarks at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance. All members of the school’s leadership attended the session, which was chaired by党委书记裴小倩.
According to reports, the meeting emphasized a thorough understanding of Xi Jinping’s instructions concerning Shanghai, aiming to solidify ideological foundations through careful analysis of their core meaning. School leaders裴小倩, 廖昌永, 汤隽杰, and 冯磊 delivered focused remarks during the discussion.
Participants discussed integrating the concept of a “people’s city” into all aspects of the conservatory’s operations and governance. They aim to enhance administrative effectiveness and provide high-quality music education that satisfies public needs, contributing to Shanghai’s development as a modern, people-centered city.
The conservatory also plans to leverage existing foundations to establish an advantage in the field, viewing the integration of artificial intelligence with music as a significant opportunity to enhance social service capabilities.
