Shanghai Conservatory of Music convened a special meeting to advance its ‘Double First-Class’ construction and comprehensive reform efforts. The meeting was divided into two sessions covering different departments. Twelve secondary departments reported on reform progress and future plans. Dean Liao Changyong affirmed departmental reform achievements and emphasized aligning with new era cultural development needs. He advocated breaking disciplinary barriers and integrating resources, stressing precise positioning and incremental reform implementation.
Party Secretary Pei Xiaoqian called for strengthening reform awareness and logic, highlighted optimizing reform guarantees and support, and emphasized adhering to Party leadership in reform. The school will use ‘one department one policy’ as a reform lever to promote high-quality development through reform.
The meeting aimed to advance the school’s strategic goals and ensure comprehensive reform implementation.
