Michael Stefiuk has been named the Director of Concert Activities at the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester.

Stefiuk will join that school as director on August 1 to oversee the Eastman School of Music’s Concert Office, manage the operations of school’s performance venues, the Eastman Theater Box Office, Theatre Shop, and concessions, and provide artistic and programming direction for the school’s various presentation series.

Stefiuk holds both a bachelor degree in music from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Music from New England Conservatory. Some of his past accomplishments include developing and securing funding for “Music for a Great City,” a partnership of with the Green Bay Public Schools and the Green Bay Packers, establishing a partnership with Bellin Health’s Expressive Arts, and producing the Columbus Symphony’s entire outdoor summer season during his tenure with the symphony.

“It is truly an honor and a privilege to be joining the esteemed faculty and staff at the Eastman School of Music. One of my greatest passions is connecting people with the power of live music and I look forward to many opportunities to do this with Eastman and the greater Rochester communities,” said Stefiuk.
