The 2025 American String Teachers Association (ASTA) National Conference and National Orchestra Festival (NOF) will be held March 19-22 in Atlanta, Georgia. The theme for the event is String Synergy: Sparking Artistry, Innovation, & Connection. Reenergize your performance and teaching. Attendees will experience the conference and can attend performances and clinics of the nearly 40 student ensembles accepted to participate in the 2025 National Orchestra Festival. Pre- and post-conference workshops, educational sessions, new music reading sessions, master classes featuring collegiate and pre-collegiate participants led by world-class artist-teachers, evening concerts, social events, jam sessions, and more!

The 2025 conference will feature both pre-conference (Wednesday, March 19: noon-5:00 PM) and post-conference workshops (Saturday, March 22: 1:00-6:00 PM). A wide variety of session topics – including sessions for new-to-strings teachers – featuring leading professionals in our field, will be presented daily. Professional and student musicians will be performing in music showcases throughout the conference. And you won’t want to miss the exhibit hall – instruments, accessories, music, colleges/universities, industry partners, and MORE!

Our Thursday keynote will feature Yumi Kendall and Joeseph Conyers, world-class musicians, educators, advocates, and entrepreneurs who perform in The Philadelphia Orchestra and are co-hosts of the inspirational podcast, Tacet No More. Grand champions from the National Orchestra Festival will perform Saturday morning.

Saturday is ASTA Student Day, and we encourage all young participants and local pre-collegiate students to attend! Activities will include attending the closing ceremony featuring the National Orchestra Festival grand champions, interactive sessions with ARKAI, attendance at conference sessions and master classes, and time in the exhibits!
