With continuing concern over Coronavirus (COVID-19), summer camps and schools throughout the nation have closed or cancelled.

In an effort to provide education and entertainment for students of all ages, founder of the captivating Central Florida based strings band Violectric and renowned “Vinylinist” Michelle Jones has created the Violectric Education Program SPARKS video series.

Available starting this Thursday, June 4 with an all-new video released each week, the fun and free online series will feature different musicians and facilitators from Violectric and Violectric’s philanthropy, Violectric Education Programs, presenting short educational lessons with a mini concert concluding each video.  A variety of engaging topics will be covered, ranging from the history of musical notation and improvising with a DJ to changing a string and electrifying an instrument.

“As more and more camps and schools have been closed or canceled due to the virus, I wanted to create something that would be entertaining and educational for students of every age,” says Jones. “All of these original, short programs are produced by Violectric and its musicians, facilitators and technicians.  They are designed to be a mix of ‘How It’s Made’ meets mini concert as seen on reality TV shows. We are hoping each of these short programs ‘sparks’ an interest in the world of music and entertainment and grows our audience in a fun way through learning.”

All videos are free on several platforms for viewing, and they contain only original, public domain or copyright-obtained music. A new video will be released every Thursday for the next several months.  The videos are available on http://violectric.net, www.facebook.com/violectricmusic and @violectricmusic.

In addition to the SPARKS video series, Violectric is excited to announce its new representation with Las Vegas based Southwest Artist Group (SWAG). Created in 2019, SWAG works with talented artists from the music and literary communities, while guiding and accompanying them on their journey to global success. With over 45 years of experience in the entertainment industry including live music, theater, touring and special events, SWAG will serve as Violectric’s management company and be involved with live shows, events, tours and promotions.

“Violectric has been based in both Orlando and Las Vegas for almost two years,” says Jones. “The band and I have been doing more shows across the nation, and I wanted a management team to grow with us.  With multiple shows in both cities and surrounding areas, it seemed a perfect fit for us to sign with Southwest Artist Group in Las Vegas. I cannot wait to see what this next year will bring for both of us.  I also hope to continue to pair our Violectric Education Programs in the schools with our live concerts as we perform in cities around the world.”
