The Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) is hosting a Future Music Educators and Music Program Leaders Summit on Monday, November 16, 2026, at the Creative Hub in Worcester, Massachusetts. According to MMEA, the event aims to give students a unique opportunity to investigate potential careers in music education.
The summit is accessible to Massachusetts high school students in grades 9 through 12 who are interested in pursuing music education. Attendees can anticipate a series of collegiate and music educator panel discussions, focused workshops, and the chance to interact with college representatives. A keynote address is also planned.
Last year’s gathering brought together over 50 high school students and 25 music program leaders for a day of professional development and insight. Higher education institutions wanting to participate by hosting a table or leading a workshop should contact Jared Cassedy. Registration is now open for both the student and leader components of the summit.
