The Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hosts Free Fall Concerts

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) will perform four free community concerts this fall at venues across Detroit, all presented by DTE Energy Foundation. Associate Conductor Michelle Merrill will conduct all of the concerts.

This year’s free concerts include:

· Thursday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn

· Friday, September 29 at 10:45 a.m. at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit

· Saturday, September 30 at 8 p.m. at Clawson High School in Clawson

· Sunday, October 1 at 3 p.m. at Lakeview High School in St. Clair Shores

In addition, on September 7, a DSO string quartet will promote the concerts with a pop-up performance at Kuhnhenn Brewing Company in Warren.

“The DSO free community concert series provides everyone with the opportunity to experience, appreciate and learn about music from an outstanding symphony orchestra,” said Faye Nelson, vice president at DTE Energy, and board chair and president of the DTE Energy Foundation. “Music and the arts are integral to a strong quality of life.
