Technology in Music Education (TiME) UK has announced a new transatlantic partnership with TI:ME USA to create an international platform for sharing best practices in music technology and inclusion. The Music Industries Association reported that this collaboration aims to unlock opportunities for the industry to support the growing market for inclusive music making.
The agreement addresses the needs of millions of young people in both nations who require additional educational support, increasing demand for accessible technology and adaptive instruments. TiME UK, established in 2019, connects over 1,000 members with major brands to bridge product development and classroom use. TI:ME USA has operated since 1995 to help educators apply technology for improved learning.
Under a new Memorandum of Understanding, both organizations commit to professional development, research, advocacy, and shared resources focused on improving technology use in music education. Leaders from both groups stated the alliance will build a bridge between their shared missions to better support students and teachers with trusted technologies. Industry partners expressed excitement about the expanded reach and potential benefits for music learners globally through this joint effort.
