GRAMMY Camp offers selected high school students an interactive residential summer music experience. Focusing on all aspects of commercial music, this unique opportunity provides instruction by industry professionals in an immersive creative environment with cutting-edge technology in professional facilities. The program offers seven music career tracks: Audio Engineering; Concert Promotion/Production; Electronic Music Production; Marketing & Management; Music Journalism; Songwriting and a Performance Track for Bass, Drums, Guitar, Keyboards, Vocal, and Winds & Strings. All tracks culminate in media projects, recordings and/or showcase performances. Funds help support scholarships to program participants.

High school singers and instrumentalists can audition for the GRAMMY Camp — Jazz Session. Selectees will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the host city for the annual GRAMMY Awards, and students will participate in high-profile GRAMMY Week performances and recording sessions and will attend the GRAMMY telecast.

Just as the GRAMMY Award recognizes excellence in recording, the GRAMMY Signature Schools program recognizes top public high schools across the country for outstanding commitment to their music education programs. Each of the GRAMMY Signature Schools will receive a custom award and a monetary grant to benefit its music program.

The Music Educator Award was established to recognize current educators (kindergarten through college, public and private schools) who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of music education and who demonstrate a commitment to the broader cause of maintaining music education in the schools. A joint partnership and presentation of The Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Foundation, this special award will be presented at the Special Merit Awards Ceremony. The deadline to nominate a teacher for the fourth annual award is March 15, 2016.

About Sam Hunt
Sam Hunt’s debut album Montevallo on MCA Nashville topped the Billboard Country Albums Chart in its first week and remains the best-selling debut album for a country artist since 2011. Montevallo landed on multiple “best of 2014” lists including lists by the Associated Press, Billboard, Country Weekly, Los Angeles Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, SPIN Magazine, Village Voice and The Washington Post. The album has so far produced three consecutive No. 1 platinum-selling singles with “Leave The Night On,” “House Party” and the double-platinum “Take Your Time,” plus Hunt’s latest Top 5 (and climbing) platinum-selling single, “Break Up In A Small Town.” The monumental album has spent more than a year in the Top 10 on the country album sales chart — nine of those weeks at No. 1.

Hunt, who recently earned his first-ever GRAMMY nominations for Best New Artist and Best Country Album, and celebrated his first American Music Award earning the all-genre New Artist of the Year, is also a celebrated songwriter. In addition to all the tracks on Montevallo, his credits include Kenny Chesney’s No. 1 “Come Over,” Billy Currington’s No. 1 “We Are Tonight” and Keith Urban’s Top 10 “Cop Car.”

Spotify named Hunt the Cycle 5 winner of its Emerge program —  a first for a country artist in the all-genre competition. Hunt joins Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Atlas Genius and Bastille in the ranks of former winners. He is consistently one of Spotify’s top-played artists in the U.S. across all genres.

After making his TV debut on NBC’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers” in 2014, Hunt has since performed on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon,” ABC’s “Good Morning America,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,”  “Live! With Kelly & Michael,” and CBS’ “Late Show With David Letterman,”  “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and “The Voice.”

Hunt sold out his first-ever headlining Lipstick Graffiti Tour within minutes of tickets going on sale. He has also shared the stage with Taylor Swift, joined tours with Lady Antebellum and Luke Bryan, and will be hitting stadiums with Kenny Chesney next spring.
