Senior leaders from the University of Education, Winneba traveled to Tampere University in Finland seeking new academic and research partnerships. The visiting group featured Vice-Chancellor Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, Faculty of Science Education Vice-Dean Prof. Benjamin Ghansah, and Director of Research Prof. Enoch Frederick Sam.
Their discussions centered on organizing joint academic conferences that unite researchers, industry practitioners, and policymakers for knowledge exchange. The two universities also considered launching an annual public lecture series to bring distinguished scholars from both sides together. Additional topics included joint research projects, collaborative publications, academic staff exchanges, postgraduate mobility, and seminars. This engagement demonstrates UEW’s dedication to expanding international partnerships and strengthening global research networks. Both institutions are now exploring mechanisms to turn these discussions into tangible activities.
