According to the report, Diana Peterson served on the school’s board for 15 years, driven by a childhood upbringing where daily music practice was mandatory for all eight siblings. The organization continues to operate through three core programs designed to support students from early study to pre-professional training. This includes the GRIT program, which provides full scholarships to nearly 500 students across three Title I schools, ensuring high-level instruction reaches children regardless of economic background.
The school’s leadership stated that the name change reflects a mission to make world-class music education accessible to everyone.
