The University of Wyoming Western Thunder Marching Band performed country artist Ian Munsick’s latest single, “Love is Blind,” on the field where the Cowboys play, Laramie Live reported. The arrangement for the ensemble was created by Jacob Walker, a recent university graduate from Cheyenne who now serves as a middle school band teacher in Green River.
According to a University of Wyoming press release cited by Laramie Live, Walker originally developed the arrangement as part of his final graduation project. His successful execution of that complete show led officials to ask him to arrange the performance for the Western Thunder Marching Band. Munsick attended the event in person, expressing gratitude to the students and educators. The artist remarked that hearing his music performed by the band was a significant honor, especially given his childhood memories of watching football games at the venue with his father. While the band featured Munsick’s music during the previous football season, this event marked his first time witnessing the performance live alongside the ensemble.
