Vocalist and students to perform at Oxford temple’s 25th Anniversary

Sarva Dev Mandir in Oxford, Massachusetts, will mark its 25th anniversary with a musical program highlighting student participation alongside professional artists, INDIA New England News reported. The event, titled “Samarpanam – An Evening of Devotion,” is scheduled for September 26 and will feature acclaimed vocalist Anuradha “Juju” Palakurthi performing with students from Swararati Music School and the temple itself.

The ensemble includes Hirak Modi on keyboard, Pranav Swaroop on harmonium, Nitin Mitta on tabla and Vedant Lele on pakhawaj. Palakurthi, who founded Juju Productions and chairs MIT’s Heritage Arts of South Asia, brings experience in Indian classical and film music to the celebration. The inclusion of students underscores the institution’s mission to pass cultural traditions to the next generation through active music education.

According to the report, the temple has served as a center for worship, learning and cultural programs for a quarter-century. Organizers describe the event as an offering that reflects twenty-five years of building unity through faith, culture and shared musical learning within the Central Massachusetts Indian-American community. The program aims to bring together devotion, music and culture for attendees of all ages.
