Carnegie Hall has announced that pianist Lang Lang must withdraw from his concert with conductor Lü Jia and the China NCPA Orchestra on Monday, October 30 at 8:00 p.m. while he continues to recover from an inflammation in his left arm.
In his place, 27-year-old pianist Haochen Zhang will perform the previously announced “Yellow River Concerto” by Yin Chengzong / Chu Wanghua. Zhang is a gold medal and first prize winner at the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and a 2017 recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant.
