“Three Songs of Emily Dickinson for Women’s Choir” by George L. Mabry was commissioned for Dr. Sharon Hansen and the Milwaukee Choral Artists’ 10th anniversary. This three-movement set is suitable for collegiate and professional women’s choirs. The accompaniment requires an accomplished pianist, and only mature singers will be able to handle the vocal demands of the choral writing and the emotional demands of the poetry.
Mark Hayes’ Sing Praise Project
Mark Hayes’ Sing Praise Project songbook and listening CD features 10 of Mark’s best creative efforts. Sing Praise Project is an eclectic blend of serious anthems, popular praise and worship songs, and some of Mark’s foot-stomping, hand-clapping gospel hymns. The songs are suitable for orchestra or and even keyboard accompaniment.
Bow and Bend
Written for the New York Women’s Chorus and the composer’s friend, John Morgan, Robert Dennis’ “Bow and Bend” for SSAA choir with keyboard is a collection of six songs colored by Shaker beliefs of personal revelation, equality between the sexes, celibacy, and dedication to work. The first and last movements are based on a Shaker hymn tune, and the rest of the music is original, reflecting the Shaker spirit of simplicity.
CAD Equitek E100s Condenser
The CAD Equitek E100S large-diaphragm supercardioid condenser mic features a bootstrapped, full differential Quadra-FET front-end to ensure high sensitivity and low distortion. A nickel-plated one-inch capsule delivers accurate phasing when miking instruments and full tone for vocals enhanced by the microphone’s low-end frequency response. Additional features include an 80Hz hi-pass filter and a 10dB pad. A twin 5087 output driver provides low drive impedance. RoHS compliant, the E100S also features RF immunity. 48V phantom power is required. Supplied in a cherry wood carrying case, the E100S also includes a shock mount.
Miguel Del Aguila’s “Ave Maria”
Miguel Del Aguila’s “Ave Maria” for treble chorus and piano or harp is the widely-performed composer’s setting of the Ave Maria text adapted from a section of his choral suite from the opera Time and Again Barelas.
