New Choral Titles from Carl Fischer Music
Carl Fischer Music presents a wider variety of choral music for school, featuring some of the best known composers in choral literature, in addition to new writers. These new releases include folk songs from different countries, spirituals, new editions and arrangements of masterworks, and much more. Carl Fischer’s main focus in choral music for 2009 – 2010 is on school concert and festival selections, but also includes several titles that are appropriate for sacred use. As part of their Part by Part series, they are also offering free non-printable PDFs and free MP3 recordings targeting each vocal part for download, featuring individual voice part tracks for home practice.

Hal Leonard’s Choral Works from Glee
Hal Leonard Corporation has released a PVG songbook and nearly two dozen choral octavos featuring the music from Glee, the new Fox television’s comedy-drama. The Glee songbook offers 16 tunes from the show about an enthusiastic teacher who, against many obstacles, tries to bring a high school glee club into the spotlight. The series features pop songs from the past and present, sung by a group of teens. The songs contain piano, vocal, and guitar arrangements. Hal Leonard’s choral writers have created arrangements true to what’s sung on the show. All octavos are in the Hal Leonard Pop Choral Series are available in a variety of voicings.

Zoom Q3 Handheld Video Recorder with HD Audio
Zoom’s Q3 Handy Video Recorder records stereo sound with two condenser microphones, which allow users to capture clear HD audio with their movies. The ability to capture audio at 24-bit/48 kHz is important for users planning to upload their footage to video share sites like YouTube, which compress video but now allow files with stereo audio at 44.1 kHz, which is CD quality.
