CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – March 31, 2016 — WorldStrides, the nation’s largest and most trusted educational travel provider, is proud to announce a partnership with the University of California, San Diego Extension, which will allow students to earn college credit after participating in one of WorldStrides’ travel programs. This relationship is part of WorldStrides’ tremendous commitment to education.
Students combine field work during their travel program and online coursework after they return home. There are a wide variety of courses available linked to the destination visited and the number of credits desired. All courses are administered by WorldStrides’ team of credentialed instructors, led by Dr. Wendy Amato. UC San Diego Extension directly issues the credit.
Students who earn credit in this way distinguish themselves as academic achievers, savvy online learners, and committed global citizens. The credit is a highlight on their academic record and can be submitted in the Common Application in the “Colleges & Universities” section.

The WorldStrides programs are available to high school and undergraduate students who travel on an educational program with the organization.
