Nashville Symphony Announces 2020 Community Concerts

The Nashville Symphony has announced the schedule for its 2020 Community Concerts series, which will showcase the GRAMMY Award-winning orchestra performing classical and popular favorites in free concerts at six public parks and greenspaces throughout Middle Tennessee.

A key part of the Nashville Symphony’s mission to make great music accessible to everyone in in the region, Community Concerts have been a local summer tradition since 1974 and annually draw thousands of concertgoers. Admission to all six concerts is free of charge.   

The 2020 series opens with a return to Centennial Park on June 4 as part of an ongoing partnership with Musicians Corner. The complete schedule is as follows:

7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 4 – Musicians Corner, Centennial Park

7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 6 – Key Park, Lafayette

7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7 – Crockett Park, Brentwood

7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10 – The Estate at Cherokee Dock, Lebanon

7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23 – Historic Rock Castle, Hendersonville

7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 24 – Cumberland University, Lebanon

The Nashville Symphony again invites the public to vote on the encore selection for this year’s Community Concert series. Starting on March 16, visit NashvilleSymphony.org/CommunityConcerts to participate in the first round of voting and make your selections. Semi-final and final voting will follow in the next two weeks, and the winning selection will be announced on the Nashville Symphony’s social media platforms.
