The Gretsch Renown Series has been updated to include “302” hoops which are lighter and less rigid than die cast hoops — allowing the drum to better “breathe” and achieve maximum resonance. Other updates include¦ a BD Mounted Tom Holder system, and newly aredesigned 30° bearing edges. The newly-updated Gretsch Renown delivers a contemporary punch, combined with some of Gretsch’s most renowned features, to¦o¨er a versatile kit that’s at home in the studio and on stage. Renown Series bass drums include matching 10-ply maple wood hoops, diecast claw hooks, and heavy-duty telescopic spurs, all fitted with the Classic Gretsch “T” Wing nut. Also added is Gretsch’s heavy-duty, ball-and-socket tom mount, which alleviates the need for tom stands.
