Part-Time After School Coach/Sponsor (Band Tech)

McAllen High School -2 Positions

Memorial High School - 2 Positions

Nikki Rowe High School - 2 Positions

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Hired applicant is responsible for assisting in the direction of the High School Band Groups

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or GED

Associate's Degree or a minimum of 48 college hours, required - $10.25/hour

or

Bachelor’s Degree & Texas Teaching Certificate with required endorsements for subject/level assigned or other permits as approved by state - $23.00/hour

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, teachers, administration; ability to speak, read, write and follow written and oral instructions; communicate effectively (verbal and written); utilize effective interpersonal skills; demonstrate knowledge of subjects assigned; exhibit general knowledge of curriculum and instruction; basic computer skills, preferred

Experience:

Consultant, private lesson experience, preferred

As per UIL Section 1202 (a)(3) (Employment of coaches) - Retired Teacher/Administrator with 20 or more years of experience.

Working Days:  226 / Up to 19 hrs per week
