THIS POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL FILLED
The Position is for the 2026-27 School Year. This is a .6 FTE music position with an option of full-time if the candidate is interested taking on additional classes at the high school: yearbook class and student support class.

Job Purpose Statement/s:
The Music teacher promotes and develops successful learning for students in al K-12 Music classes. The teacher also performs instructional and related duties as they pertain to the state and district standards in Music education. The Music teacher must perform duties in accordance with District Policies and terms of the teacher contract. The teacher also maintains a cooperative attitude with staff, parents and students .
Job Qualifications & Licensure:
• BA/BS or higher degree (required) with a major in one or more of the following areas: Curriculum, Elementary Education, Reading, Music, Early Childhood Education, or similar.
• Valid Oregon Teaching License (Must meet Highly Qualified Requirements)
• Skills to motivate students, communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds, direct support personnel, evaluate performance.
• Knowledge of age appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education code, appropriate instructional subjects.
• Holds and maintains an appropriate license and endorsement(s) from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission in the State of Oregon; and displays a willingness to teach any qualified subject area. Must be able to provide nitration at assigned levels (Elementary, Middle and High School).
