Itinerant Music Teacher

<p><strong>POSITION: Itinerant Music Teacher </strong></p><p><strong>ASSIGNMENT: Music - Elementary (K-7) </strong></p><p><strong>FTE: 1.0 </strong></p><p><strong>LOCATION: District Administration Office </strong></p><p><strong>EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2026 and continuing </strong> </p><p><strong>Basic Qualifications: </strong> The successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch AND possesses one or more of the following:</p><p><strong>Training Specifications: </strong> Elementary Education with major/minor in music</p><p><strong>Related Teaching Experience: </strong> Recent successful experience as an Elementary Music Teacher</p><p><strong>A Reasonable Expectation: </strong> based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff</p><p><strong>Additional Qualifications: </strong> </p><p>-Training/skill in the Kodaly method and/or the Orff approach to music instruction</p><p>-Strong singing skills</p><p><strong>Other: </strong> Own transportation for travel between schools is necessary - mileage reimbursed as per the Collective Agreement</p><p> </p><p> The annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $64,901 to $116,190 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.  We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension. </p><p> </p><p><i> The Quesnel School District is an equal opportunity employer </i></p><p> <br></p>
