Kennett High School is seeking a high-energy, enthusiastic, percussion technician to assist the Marching Band Director and Percussion Caption Head.  The percussion technician works directly with students to prepare exercises, routines and activities related to the school marching band's Front Ensemble.Successful candidates should believe in the importance of the impact of extra-curricular activities in a child's K-12 experience.

Requirements:

• Ability to demonstrate advanced mallet percussion techniques

• Ability to demonstrate proper auxiliary percussion techniques

• Ability to read a music score

• Must be available on nights and weekends

• Must be available for band camp

• Ability to work in a team setting

• Ability to give clear direction

• Ability to take direction and redirection

• Must be interested in supporting and working with all students

Recommended:

• Audio Engineering (base knowledge of how to use a sound board)

• Proper Microphone setup and usage

• Willingness to drive a KCSD fleet vehicle when traveling to competitions (must have valid driver's license)
