In addition to having a strong educational background and teaching experience in choral music, successful candidates will be technologically savvy, have experience with curriculum design, and model best teaching practices.
We are seeking a choral teacher to lead and shape our Middle School choral program by creating an engaging, inclusive, and vibrant environment that ignites students' passion for singing and increases participation. The ideal candidate brings a deep passion for choral music and vocal pedagogy, with experience supporting changing and developing adolescent voices and the ability to build a program that meets students where they are developmentally. Comfort with conducting and rehearsal planning is valuable, and piano proficiency is a plus, though we're open to candidates whose primary strength lies elsewhere in musicianship. The ideal candidate will teach choral courses and lead Middle School ensembles, creating a rehearsal environment where students feel encouraged to take risks with their voices and grow in confidence as singers. As a part-time employee, the candidate will teach exclusively in the Middle School. We welcome applicants with expertise in any of these areas to apply.
