Are you a passionate and creative dance professional who would love to use your skills to inspire young people?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Dance Group Tutor to join our Creative Arts team in Mansfield. This is a rewarding opportunity to plan and deliver engaging, individualised dance sessions that build confidence, encourage self-expression and support our learners' educational and personal development.

You will create a positive, inclusive environment where every learner feels safe, supported and motivated to take part. Through high-quality teaching and your own enthusiasm for dance, you will help learners develop their skills, celebrate their achievements and work towards their individual aspirations.

What you'll be doing

As our Dance Group Tutor, you will:

• Plan, prepare and deliver inspiring and highly individualised dance sessions.

• Use a range of dance styles and approaches to engage and positively challenge learners.

• Support learners sensitively and effectively, adapting sessions to meet their individual needs.

• Assess learners' progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Creative Arts and wider Alternative Provision teams.

• Contribute to schemes of work, course development and quality-assurance activities.

• Complete accurate and professional records, including progress information, incidents and safeguarding concerns.

• Carry out appropriate risk assessments to support the health, safety and welfare of learners and colleagues.

• Maintain your professional knowledge through relevant training and continuing professional development.

What we're looking for

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Practical experience within the creative arts or dance industry.

• Knowledge and experience across a varied range of dance genres.

• A relevant Level 4 qualification.

• English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or above.

• Experience of teaching, tutoring, coaching or delivering group sessions.

• A track record of supporting learners to achieve positive outcomes.

• Experience of adapting your approach to meet individual needs.

• Experience of working with children or young people.

• Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.

• Good record-keeping skills and an understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.

• Experience of formal assessment, or a willingness to develop this knowledge.

You will be self-motivated, dependable and able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team. Most importantly, you will have a genuine passion for teaching and the ability to be a positive role model for our learners.
