Wellington College International Bangkok welcomes applications from experienced and outstanding Senior School Music Teachers.

We are seeking an exceptional and enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join our thriving Senior School. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire a lifelong love of music and make a significant contribution to a dynamic and ambitious music department.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality music lessons across the Senior School, with a particular focus on Key Stage 3, while also teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Music. They will be committed to nurturing students’ musical understanding, creativity, and performance skills, enabling learners of all abilities to flourish and achieve their full potential.

Beyond the classroom, the successful applicant will play a key role in developing and leading a vibrant co-curricular music programme, supporting concerts, ensembles, performances, and instrumental initiatives that enrich the wider life of the school. They will contribute to the ongoing development of an innovative and ambitious music curriculum and actively promote excellence in musicianship and performance.

We are looking for a teacher who combines strong subject knowledge with a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring young musicians. Experience of teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Music is essential, while the ability to contribute to the future development and delivery of A-Level Music Technology would be highly advantageous.

Experience of working in excellent British schools - in the UK or internationally - is essential, as are UK teaching qualifications. However, qualifications and experience alone are not enough. We seek teachers and leaders with an unquenchable desire to make things better. Deep knowledge, strong skills, and secure understanding are expectations, but so too is a mindset of continual improvement: a willingness to reflect, to challenge the status quo, to redefine what is possible, and to grow.

About Wellington College Bangkok

Wellington College Bangkok opened in August 2018 and will grow to accommodate 1,600 girls and boys aged 2-18 years. The school’s facilities are world-class: the design and appearance are modern yet combine distinctive features of Wellington College, Berkshire and elements of Thai culture. The buildings are set amidst a large, beautiful, green campus in Krungthep Kreetha, a suburban area midway between Bangkok city and Bangkok International Airport, right next to the expansive greens and fairways of the Unico Grande Golf Course.

In our first year of operation, we filled classes from Pre-Nursery to Year 6. In September 2024, we opened our first Sixth Form classes, having expanded naturally year on year. Student numbers in the four-form-entry Junior School are very buoyant and, on the back of becoming the first school in the world to gain full COBIS Patron’s Accreditation within the first year of operation, and subsequent full membership of FOBISIA and CIS Accreditation, the College is already recognised as one of the best international schools anywhere. Our Senior School buildings are spectacular and extraordinary, confirming Wellington as the most dynamically progressive and educationally significant new school in the region.
