The Infrastructure and AV Technician's role involves integrating audio-visual technology to enhance thelearning environment, installing and maintaining various types of cabling, providing technical support to site administrators, staff, and students, and resolving building site issues.
This is a temporary position.
Anticipated Start Date: Immediatly
Anticipated End Date: 1/1/2027
Hours
• Monday through Friday, with occasional work outside standard business days.
• Hours vary based on the project assigned.
Pay
$22.98- $28.85 per hour (based on relevant work experience)
Job Duties
Installs cabling through walls, ceilings, door frames, etc. to code to maintain and update overall site operations in District facilities.
Installs, tests, and maintains AV and security-related equipment for maintaining and updating overall site operations.
Maintains manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g. inventory database, preventive maintenance, purchases, inspections, repair logs, etc.) to document activities, convey information, and provide an up-to-date reference and audit trail.
Performs audio-visual related/cabling troubleshooting to maintain site operations.
Prepares status reports, user guides, and materials to document activities, provide written references, and convey information.
Provide audio-visual support and training throughout the District to support staff.
Provide in-classroom support and information regarding procedures, processes, and safety for technology-related equipment. (e.g. Applied Technology, Library Media Center and Telecommunications, etc.)
Researches computer solutions and the latest technology that provides best practices in technology to the district.
Responds to requests for assistance through multiple communication methods regarding technology-related issues to provide quick, quality service within a reasonable timeframe.
Transports and sets up computer/AV equipment to district and district-approved buildings to provide technology resources on time.
Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Requirements
• High School diploma required
• Job-related experience is required.
