About the Role

Canberra Grammar School is seeking an energetic and inspiring Casual Music Teacher to join the Music Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to chords, notes and voice to life for students. Through engaging classroom experiences and practical performance opportunities, you will encourage students to take creative risks, develop their musical skills and discover the confidence to express themselves.

Whether you are an experienced educator or an emerging teacher with strong potential, you will be welcomed into a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and collaborative team committed to outstanding teaching and learning.

About You

• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging Music lessons

• A demonstrated capacity to teach students across a broad range of ages, abilities and learning needs

• The ability to create an inclusive and supportive environment in which students feel confident to perform, experiment and grow

• Effective use of assessment, feedback and student data to advance learning

• Postgraduate qualifications or further study in Music, specifically woodwind

• Excellent written and spoken English, strong interpersonal skills and confidence using technology to support learning.

All teachers at CGS are required to hold:

• Current ACT Teacher Quality Institute registration

• A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration

• A current First Aid Certificate

• A current National Police Check

• Full working rights in Australia.
