The University of Akron outdid itself again last week at its sixth annual MonsterPianos! Concert, this time culminating in 24 pianists sharing the stage together on eight grand pianos. The concert attracted over 1,000 spectators and included performances from 41 pianists in total, all from the U.A. School of Music.

The school is currently in the midst of its “All-Steinway Piano Campaign,” a push to gather contributions toward more Steinway pianos for the school. All the concert grand pianos Sunday were Steinways, some owned by UA and some borrowed.
