2011 Director’s Resource Guide

There are many factors to consider when selecting and purchasing music for school ensembles. As if finding interesting music with the right difficulty level and instrumentation weren't enough to think about, there are also different forms of media to consider paper, CDs, digital files and, of course, the specter of shrinking budgets doesn't make the process any easier.

With those concerns in mind, this SBO reader survey takes stock of print music trends, educator purchasing habits, and even a few gripes about music publishers.

How much money do you have to spend on music this year?

The 2011 CD Director’s Resource Guide provides instant access to the services and products choral directors need and use. The following organizations, companies, and institutions include award manufacturers, music camp organizations, music education software developers, tour and travel consultants, trade organizations, uniform designers and distributors, and much more.

With listings conveniently arranged alphabetically by category, these pages contain products and services ranging from pitch pipes to publishing to festivals and fundraising – specifically catering to vocal music educators.  Keep this special issue of CD close at hand as an indispensable reference tool: it’s tailored especially for you, the choral director.
