On January 2, 2013, the vast majority of federal nondefense discretionary (NDD) programs will face deep, across-the board cuts. These cuts will impact a variety of core government functions. Ralliers added their voices in support of balanced education spending.
Among the featured guests at the rally of several hundred were the Honorable Tom Harkin (U.S. Senate), Rita Ngabo (a working parent), Martin Knott (president of Knott Mechanical), and many others. All spoke about the importance of maintaining America’s commitment to funding federal education.
