The NAMM Show Highlights the Latest for Music Educators and Students

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) has an annual show. Now, you may think this is only for music industry insiders, but you’d be wrong. Yes, there are mind-blowing exhibits featuring everything under the sun connected with making music. But did you know NAMM has made you a priority? 

Check out these ongoing programs focused on your needs. 

Best Communities for Music Education
A program of The NAMM Foundation that recognizes and celebrates schools and districts for their support and commitment to music education and efforts to assure access to music for all students as part of a well-rounded education.

Community Music Making
A NAMM Foundation program that promotes the pleasures and benefits of making music.

Day of Service
Each year The NAMM Foundation invites NAMM members to participate in an annual Day of Service in Anaheim, CA (January) or Washington, D.C. (May) that supports the initiative of providing every child in those districts the opportunity for a well-rounded education that includes music.

GenNext
GenNext is a collaboration between The NAMM Foundation and The College Music Society (CMS) that offers students and faculty access to The NAMM Show.

Make Music Day
An annual celebration that occurs each June 21 when people in more than 700 cities around the world make music together on the summer solstice.

NAMM Music Education Advocacy D.C. Fly-In
Each spring, NAMM members gather in Washington, D.C. to serve as advocates for the right of every child to learn and grow with music by visiting their elected representatives on Capitol Hill.

SupportMusic Coalition
The SupportMusic Coalition supports NAMM members and their networks working on state-level music and arts education advocacy efforts.

Women of NAMM
Women of NAMM (WoN) is dedicated to increasing female representation in the industry.
