Bob adds. This is a call to engage. Music and arts education programs across the country are already being affected by a convergence of forces: federal funding uncertainty, enrollment decline, the educator pipeline crisis, curriculum narrowing, and more. These threats are not coming. They are here. And they are compounding each other in ways that demand a clear-eyed, collective response.
There is still time to act. But not if we treat this as someone else’s problem or a distant concern.
