Technology and Assessment presentation draws huge audience
Chicago, IL: The founders of Solutions for Teachers (SFT) were excited to see a packed house for their presentation “An Easier Way to Test Your Students and Get Your Life Back”. This company, founded by two band directors, had standing room only as they demonstrated the assessment system and software that they had created for their own band students.
When asked about the people they spoke to, co-founders Matt Ridenour and Josette Rechul said that they both “enjoyed meeting so many directors from around the country. We still get excited every time we hear about how our program meets their needs”. They added that they can’t believe the number of people who say this system is exactly what they’ve been looking for. Both Ridenour and Rechul attribute the validity of their system to the fact that it was created by real veteran teachers and not in a board room.
Highlights of their presentation included:

- Aligned and labeled with National Standards and SLOs
- Short etudes covering a broad range of musical styles and concepts, plus scales, composition, and more
- Cloud-based software accessible from any device
- Easily generate and print growth reports
- How they use it in their own classes
