D’Addario Accessories’ new Casein Picks bring a premium pick material to the D’Addario line. The Casein pick is available in two shapes: Standard 351 and a Chris Thile Signature Mandolin pick.

Casein (also known as Galalith) is a synthetic material mainly comprised of dairy proteins. It features the balanced tone and texture that was found in the original tortoise shell picks. Each pick provides a warm balanced tone with a natural group and is laser engraved for added texture.

The standard shape pick is universal to various guitar playing styles: Flatpicking, rhythms, leads, et cetera. This point has a bevel (right-handed only), which helps the pick glide across the strings while the pointed tip helps with articulation.

Designed in partnership with Chris Thile, the signature mandolin pick has a wide triangular shape for added control and three points for playing. Each point also has a bevel. Picks are a 1.4mm gauge in a single pack.
