The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) will welcome conductor Giancarlo Guerrero and pianist Daniil Trifonov for concerts featuring Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet” Fantasy Overture, Trifonov’s own 2014 Piano Concerto, and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3, the “Scottish.”

The concerts will take place on Thursday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 10 at 10:45 a.m., and Saturday, November 10 at 8 p.m. at Orchestra Hall.

Guerrero is currently the music director of the Nashville Symphony and is three-time guest on the DSO podium, while Trifonov has earned acclaim as both a performer and ascendant composer.

The Friday morning concert will be webcast for free at dso.org/live and via Facebook Live, as part of the DSO’s Live from Orchestra Hall series. The series is presented by Ford Motor Company Fund and made possible by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
