KHS America, home of Jupiter Winds, Mapex Drums, and Majestic Percussion in the U.S., has announced the extension and expansion of their partnership with River City Rhythm Drum & Bugle Corps and Indoor Drumline of Anoka, Minnesota.

“We are honored that River City Rhythm continues to choose our instruments as the voice of their productions,” states Chris Hankes, brand development manager for KHS America. “We have had a relationship with this organization since inception, but our connections with individuals at the heart of it date back much further. They have done a tremendous job of building their competitive stature and expanding their educational reach over the past eight years, and clearly have a bright future. In recognition of this, we are proud to increase our support of their continued dedication to changing lives through music.”

In the brief time since founding in 2009, the River City Rhythm Drumline has risen to consistent medal contention in Open Class WGI competition, and were further honored with a promotion to World Class in 2017. The organization has also grown to include a Winter Guard and Drum & Bugle Corps in recent years, with the drum corps breaching the Top Twelve in DCI Open Class competition in each of their three years in existence.

“Jupiter, Mapex and Majestic instruments have been a cornerstone of our organization, and have played a vital role in our continued growth and success over the past nine years,” notes River City Rhythm Corps director, Bojan Hoover. “We are very excited to renew and strengthen our relationship with KHS, and look forward to using their incredible instruments for many years to come.”

The expansion of the relationship will position River City Rhythm as a partner member of the KHS America Academic Alliance, a growing collaborative community providing benefits for school music programs across the United States.
