The Nashville Symphony has created several virtual programs to provide students, educators, and families with opportunities to learn, engage, and grow through music.
In their virtual master class series, students in the Nashville Symphony’s Accelerando program, along with talented students from across the country, are working with top musicians and educators in the field, including Nashville Symphony principal oboist Titus Underwood and violist Anthony Parce. In addition, co-presented by Nashville Symphony and Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Is It a Fiddle or a Violin? is a uniquely Nashville opportunity for students to learn about the similarities and differences between classical and country music. Over the course of 45 minutes, two professional musicians explore the history, sounds and techniques that distinguish the classical violin and the traditional fiddle.
