Vic Firth Company has launched a new YouTube channel, specifically focused on marching percussion.

Vic Firth Company has been a leading YouTube publisher since 2007, delivering top-quality percussion education and entertainment to a worldwide audience. Today – with nearly 3,000 videos, 203,000 subscribers, and 56.5 million views under its belt – the Vic Firth YouTube channel has reached a major growth milestone.

“In the spirit of continuing to deliver more of what percussionists are looking for, we’ve decided to launch a channel specifically for marching percussion,” explains Mark Wessels, Vic Firth’s Director of Internet Activities. “Participation and interest in this genre has exploded over the years. The new ‘Vic Firth Marching’ channel will allow us to meet the needs of this growing audience.”

“Vic Firth Marching” will offer a deeper dive on all the marching content Vic Firth subscribers have come to expect. Digital Media Production Manager, Scott Quade, will play a key role in managing the two sister channels.

“With a single channel, we often found ourselves throttling content to maintain our genre balance – especially during the DCI and WGI seasons,” explains Quade. “A specialized marching channel allows us to increase our content output without negatively impacting any of the great drum set and concert content we’re producing.”

Vic Firth’s original YouTube channel will continue to serve the broader percussion community, featuring a balanced offering of marching, drum set and concert percussion content.
